Secondly, I wanted to share a pic of all the wonderful Prim goodies I received from Kim. We were assigned each others name in Char's "Porch Swap". I had never participated in a swap before, and let me tell you it was so much fun!! Like Kim said in the email she sent me, it's a little like being a kid on Christmas Day!! Thanks again Kim!! I LOVED it all!!

And lastly, I have a small confession to make....do you all remember all of the pictures I have been posting lately of all of my latest Prim finds? If not let me remind you....
And have all of you often wondered why I haven't shown any of them in their Prim goodness around my house?
Well, this is where my confession comes into play. My name is Carrie and I am a Prim addict!! I LOVE me some Prim goodness BUT all (well, maybe NOT all...but most) of these things are all still sitting in a pile on my kitchen counter. And the rest are in a basket in the closet. I KNOW!!!!
Why haven't I done anything with them yet you may ask...well, I think it is lack of confidence. Trust me, I know what I like. I can go into any Prim store and immediately pick out my favorite finds BUT I have this one small problem...once I get them home, I am not sure what to do with them. Isn't that terrible!?!?
I look at all of your blogs and get such inspiration. But when it comes to me actually putting that inspiration into action, I freeze up. I have thrift stores finds still unpainted. A BEAUTIFUL shelf "Big Daddy" made for me that I have yet to paint or decorate. I have wonderful Prim goodies that I have gotten from here and there just laying around. What is wrong with me!?!? Help!! I just need to trust my instincts right!?!? Just go for the gusto....
Do any of you have this happen to you? Or am I all alone in this "decorator's block" of mine?

Carrie,
Just let me know and I'll be happy to help you any time. I think I go through spells where I'm stuck and I move things around and live with it for awhile to decide whether I like it. I definately feel more creative at times than others. I love to browse stores and study displays and magazines are my all time favorite. Just keep hanging with all of us and it will come, don't worry.
I know how you feel...sometimes I get like that but the best thing is just place them and live with it a couple days and if it still doesn't feel right you can change it, I love to study the CS magazine they always have great ideas:0 You have alot of wonderful things:)

You do have lots of prim goodies!! I know what you mean sometime... I normally try to get ideas from magazines such as Country Sampler or Mercantile Gatherings. I also just kinda play with things until I am satisfied. The great thing about having so much stuff is that you can switch it out if one item doesn't work and just keep playing and tweaking until it looks right.
Hopefully I will have more pics posted soon. Sorry for the delay... I have just been totally obsessed with this kitchen re-do.
Hugs,
Lisa
What!? I can't believe you haven't put all of your goodies out!You have so many great prims! Be brave and just do it!:-)It will all come together and you can just keep moving things around until you happy with where they are. If I still lived there I'd love to come over and help you decorate.Have a great day Carrie!:-)
Hugs,Janae
I'm the same way, Carrie!
My problem is that I see something in a store and it looks fabulous in their display, but when I buy it and bring it home I feel like it doesn't have quite the same charm as it did in the store. :(
So I, too, have stuff put away hoping to one day find the right place for it. Also, I used to have to travel over an hour to find a great prim store so I didn't get to go often and when I did I got so excited! I'm getting better, though! So there is hope.
Have a great day,
~Kris~
Carrie~
We all suffer from the same issue, I think. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I just read your previous post about your daughter. I can so relate! My oldest is 17 and she thinks she's 25 half the time! If I survive this next year...it will be a miracle! Hang in there!
I think this happens to all of us! Like the others said, just play around with them and see where you like them.
You have some great stuff!
Mandy
