Taking Care Of Myself Tuesday

So, in Saturday’s post I had mentioned that the reason for my absence was due to some never-ending drama with our 18 YO. Basically, just her thinking so knows it all because she is 18. And her not wanting to follow the house rules.

But, I am very glad to say that things are MUCH better. After a couple of bumpy weeks, and MANY ♥ to ♥’s. I think we FINALLY got a few things figured out.  Let’s just hope it stays that way..

Another thing that has really been bothering me is my relationship with my so-called BFF. I think I told all of in a few posts back how I felt that her and my friendship was “off” some how. And how after some tests I was supposed to get, she never called to see how they went..

Well, here it is almost THREE months later and still no word from her!! I have tried texting, emailing and calling her. All to no avail. She is TOTALLY avoiding me and I have NO idea why..and it is KILLING me!!

Obviously, there is more to this story. You see, this particular friend tends to have LOTS of drama. And personally I think she may have drinking problem. So needless to say, we have had our differences before but for her to totally ignore me is very out of the ordinary.

But in trying to stay true to taking care of myself, (vice “Taking Care Of Myself Tuesday”) I decided to just keep trying to make the positive changes within myself and not let these two incidents bring me down.

So, Saturday   I treated myself a trip to the nail salon. And I think I found a new favorite. OPI Bubble Bath..

Isn’t that all us overwhelmed Moms need? A little pampering?!?!? Till next time...remember to take of YOURSELF!!! Cuz if Momma ain’t happy..NOBODY is happy!! LOL!!

Hugs!! Carrie♥

I like the header of your post. I think us moms need to take time out and take care of ourselves more often. I'm glad you got some "me" time. Nothing like have the nails done!!

I can relate to those teenagers...WOW!! I have a 20 y.o. son and a daughter who is 15, so I've been down that path, and getting ready to head again with my daughter. Hang in there!!

Blessings,
Linda

"Me" time is a wonderful thing and more often than not it's just what the dr. ordered.

Congrats on making headway with your daughter. Here's hoping things will continue to get better.

Your BFF sounds an awful lot like my sister-in-law. You've definitely done all you can to get in touch with her, all you can do now is just pray about the situation.
