Evening Ladies!! Gosh, I can't believe it is November already. Time sure does get away from you doesn't it!?!? Heck, Christmas will be here before we know it!!

I don't know if you all remember or not, but I had won a giveaway a while back that Kris was having over @ Simply Prim. Which I meant to show pictures of WAY before now but I guess time got the best of me...sorry, Kris!!

I don't know about all of you, but I feel that the kindest act of appreciation or graditude for a gift is when the person who gave it to you actually sees you wear it or use it. So, in saying this I would love for you all to see where I used all of my wonderful gifts I received from Kris's giveaway!!

Winner, Winner .....and a Chicken Dinner!!

Sorry I have been MIA the past few days. But once again "Big Daddy" and "Muscles" have been kind enough to spread around of their "flu infested" love!! And I have been sick in bed ALL weekend. Yes, even on Mother's Day!! I am feeling better, so that is good. But it is very nerve wrecking having the flu when all the news has been talking about is the "Swine" flu!!

So, all if you out there feeling the effects of all of the viruses going around I figured before I announce the winner of my 100th Post Giveaway...I would share a recipe.

COURTESY OF MY GIRL PAULA DEEN!!!!

Ingredients
Stock:
1 (2 1/2 to 3-pound) fryer chicken, cut up
3 1/2 quarts water
1 onion, peeled and diced
1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 bay leaves
3 chicken bouillon cubes
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Soup:
2 cups sliced carrots
2 cups sliced celery, with leafy green tops
2 1/2 cups uncooked egg noodles
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/3 cup cooking sherry
2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 cup grated Parmesan, optional
3/4 cup heavy cream, optional
Seasoning salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Crusty French bread, for serving
Directions
For the stock: add all ingredients to a soup pot. Cook until chicken is tender, about 35 to 45 minutes. Remove chicken from pot and set aside to cool. Remove and discard bay leaves and onion. You should have approximately 3 quarts of stock. When chicken is cool enough to touch, pick bones clean, discarding bones, skin, and cartilage. Set chicken aside.
For the soup: bring stock back to a boil, add carrots, and cook for 3 minutes. Add celery and continue to cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Add egg noodles and cook according to directions on package. When noodles are done, add chicken, mushrooms, parsley, sherry and rosemary. Add Parmesan and cream, if using. Cook for another 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning, if needed, by adding seasoning salt and pepper. Enjoy along with a nice hot crusty loaf of French bread.

One Year Blogoversary...And My 100th Post Giveaway Reminder!!

Hey Girls!! Sorry I haven't been posting the past few days. Don't worry I have still been around everyday reading all of your blogs. But to be honest, I was getting so close to my 100th post and I still don't have everything ready for my giveaway so I have been stalling!! However, as I was going thru my past posts last night, I came acrossed this one and I realized that not only is this my 99th post today is also my 1 Year Blogoversary!!

I know...kinda sad, I have been blogging for a year now and only have 99 posts. Maybe that's why I only have a few readers. ((BLUSH!!)) That or I need some more interesting posts!! LOL!! But I promise I will try to be better next year and in my opinion I don't care if I ever become one of these "big" or "popular" blogs. I just enjoy my visits with all of you. Two posts in one day!?!? I know, I know!! But I have been on this silly computer all day trying to find a new layout. Something a little bit more Prim. And let's just say, it is nearly impossible finding free layouts for us Prim lovers. It was SO much harder trying to figure out how to change things up on my own. Sorry gals!! I know I have been missing in action again, and I am sorry!! This time it was due to a bug going around our house. It started out last week when "Muscles" came down with it. Then I guess he was in a generous mood because he decided he'd share it with me. Now, I think it has officially been passed to "Miss Priss"...

Great Giveaway!!

First off, I wanted to thank all of you for all of your sweet comments yesterday regarding my wishing to be able to stay home!! Makes me feel that I wasn't being a rambling mess and that others do understand. Oh BTW, it is STILL snowing outside. Not to mention, the bouts of sleet we have had. So, I am sure tomorrow morning's communte should be EXTRA fun!! UGGHHH!!

Football Talk

I thought I would share a conversation that happen yesterday between "Big Daddy" and myself while watching the playoff game.

Big Daddy: I am glad to see that Kurt Warner got the Cardinals to the Superbowl.

Me: I thought you pretty much thought he was a traitor since leaving the Rams?

Big Daddy: No, I like him...it was his wife that I didn't care for and who caused all of the problems.

Me: Yeah, but don't you think he is kinda arrogant?

Big Daddy: How so?

Me: Well, didn't he kinda have the additude like he was the one that took the Rams to the Superbowl?

Big Daddy: He did!!

Me: Seriously? Doesn't it take the whole team? You know how the saying goes, there is no "I" in teamwork!!

Big Daddy: Yeah, but the is an "I" in win!!

Date Night....and Giveaway Reminder!!

I am SO excited!! This coming Saturday, my husband and I are going out for a "Date Night". I know this may not sound too exciting to some of you but for us it's kinda new territory.

You see when the kids were younger, my husband was in the military so we either too afraid to leave them with anybody (since we weren't around any family), didn't have the extra $$$ or we were too tired (kids were only 22 months apart) to go on too many "Date Nights". And as time went on, our busy lives got the best of us.

So, now that the kids are 17 and 15 and they have more of a social life than we do. LOL!! Not to mention, the fact that we are starting to realize that pretty soon it will just be the two of us again. We figure we better start finding some common interests, so we have decided we are going to start having weekly "Date Nights".

And guess where we are going this Saturday!?!?!?
