It is funny that you had mentioned The Eight Gable Inn…that was one of the spots that I was contemplating. I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at a B and B. But “Papa Bear” really wanted to stay in a cabin. So, we opted for that route. But next time…The Eight Gable Inn, it is!! HA!!

I do admit, I am a little nervous to be going in the Winter for the fear that there will not be a lot to do. I sure hope so!!

Have any of you been to the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area during the Winter months? And if so, what tourist attractions would you recommend?

Like “Papa Bear” told me the other night…I am really over thinking this one. And with that being said, Blogging is going to be a bigger part of my life this year. I truly do enjoy it. I love getting a peak into so many of your lives.
First of all, I just wanted to thank all of you for all of the warm and caring comments. I ask for continued prayers for our family....while at my cousin's husband's wake our family received a devastating phone call that my cousin Lauren was taken to a nearby hospital and was in the ICU on life support. Lauren has since passed away. She was only 26. So, we had Sean's services on Wednesday and we will be having Lauren's tomorrow. I just ask that you all pray for our entire family, that we will all find the strength to make it thru this difficult time. It is truly more than one family should have to endure.Carriehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17230489451094326880noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7194491537353977847.post-53542369575195794702010-12-12T10:21:00.001-06:002010-12-12T10:22:43.440-06:00Prayers Please!!I know that I haven’t posted in a very long time…but trust me when I say that I have been missing it so!! Even though, I still look at all of your blogs, almost daily. But today, I decided that I needed to come here and ask all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

My dear cousin, Kelly, lost her husband Friday night in a tragic car accident. He was hit head on and killed by an 18 YO drunk driver. And unfortunately, my cousin saw the entire accident. She was driving in her car only 3 cars behind him. She and her husband were coming home from his work Christmas party and they had taken two cars because she had come directly from work. Thankfully, she doesn’t remember much. She remembers seeing the car cross the center lane, hit Sean’s car and calling 911. After that, I am assuming shock set in.

Sean not only left behind his beloved wife but they have two beautiful boys, a 6 YO and a 3 YO. Unfortunately, my cousin is not a stranger to death, she lost her Father when she was only 15 YO. My Aunt had become a widow at the age of 38 and now her Daughter has become one at the age of 33. WAY too young!!!! And to make matters so much worse, Sean just went thru a major heart surgery for a heart defect he was born with this past year and came out of that with flying colors just to have his life taken away by a senseless drunk driver!!

So, during this Christmas season…please hug your loved ones a little tighter and please keep my cousin and her entire family in your thoughts and prayers!!
But I wanted to stop by and express my deepest gratitude to all of you that left such warm and caring comments in regards to my last post. You don't know how happy it makes me to report that all is well with my daughter!! It has been a LONG couple of months but I THANK GOD that everything came out well. Her Doctor feels confident that it is not our worst nightmare. And that she does not need surgery. To hear those words was such a relief. For the first time in months, I feel like I can breath again!!
Carriehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17230489451094326880noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7194491537353977847.post-80843454530186162882010-03-24T18:17:00.001-05:002010-03-24T18:17:18.923-05:00Prayers Please!! ♥
Sorry I haven’t been around for awhile. My daughter has been having some health issues for about 2 months now. She has have several swollen Lymph Nodes in her neck and we aren’t sure of the cause. So, between work, home and doctors appointments…I haven’t been around much.

She has had a round of antibiotics, blood work, a chest x-ray so far. And then today, she had to go see an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat specialist). Which I thought would make me feel better…but it didn’t.

You see whenever we had taken her to our Primary Care and after they ran the blood work and chest x-ray, I thought that they were able rule out Lymphoma. But according to the ENT, that is not true. Well, the other night while lying in bed, I caught the very end of the movie. All I can say is that it is such a sad…but powerful movie!! With every thing that has happened in the past week, it truly has me appreciating all of the good in my life. Wanting to hug my loved ones a little longer!! And mostly, wanting to stop with the “Stinkin’ Thinkin’”.

While we are on the subject of “Spring Cleaning”, I need to do some serious cleaning of another sort. Between work, the kids, running errands, etc. This old lady tends to run out of energy. So, I ask you all this…what are your tips and/or tricks for housework? Do you generally do a “Spring Cleaning”? And if so, do you have a routine you wouldn’t mind sharing?

BTW, I have tried several attempts of dividing the housework into “Chore List” for each family member always to no avail…so, do any of you have suggestions of “Chore Lists” that seem to work?

Anyway, hope you all are having a WONDERFUL weekend!!

Til Next Time…Hugs!! I know that should be in bed…5:30am will be here before I know it. But I am a buddle of nerves tonight, and can’t sleep.

So much has happen this past week that has me feeling lost. More so than normal…LOL!!

First of all, one of my closest friend’s brother got into a major car accident last Thursday night. He is doing much better now, but for a little while they weren’t sure if he’d even make it.

Then, we are playing the waiting game with some swollen Lymph Nodes my daughter has in her neck. They are treating her with a round of antibiotics but they said if they aren’t better after that, they will want to do further testing…but the swelling seems to be going down. So, let’s keep our fingers crossed!!

But the worst news of all has to do with my Primary Care Physician…I am not sure if any of you remember me telling you but my DR (who BTW is only 40 YO) has Stage 4 terminal Brain Cancer, well this past weekend his wife (who is also 40 YO) died of Cardiac Arrest.

I am telling you, how much tragedy can one family take!?!? For the past year or so, Dr. S and his wife have been preparing for his death only for him to outlive her. And to make the matter even worse, they have FOUR young children. I believe an 11 YO, 8 YO and 4 YO twins.

And as bad as this may sound, that is just a few of the things that have happened…in the past week our community has also experienced a drowning death of a Mother, her 7 YO son and his 6 YO friend. And also a tragic plane crash of a small plane that killed two.

I know when things like this happen, it should make us appreciate what we have that much more. And trust me it does!! But at the same time, I can’t help but to wonder why!?!?!? Why do terrible things like this have to happen?

So, as I close this up…I would like to ask all of you give the ones you love an ♥EXTRA♥BIG♥HUG♥ tonight. And please pray for others not so fortunate!!

Til Next time…HUGS!! LOL!!

I would love to say that my mood has improved since my “Moody Monday” post..but not so much!!

But as I was sitting at work today, I was thinking about some of my fellow bloggers that always seem to have the most encouraging posts. And also a co-worker of mine, who has to be the most upbeat and positive person I know.

You see a few years ago, this woman was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. And not even thru the Chemo or Radiation did she lose her bubbly personality.

And that got me thinking how negative of a person I really am. Not for the lack of trying..but I guess as the saying goes bad habits really are hard to break.

So, I ask you all of this..what are you?
